Poetry: History

After the war, the Wall will stand.
Though all the world be dust, borne
on a ceaseless wind, still, the Wall
will stand. No broken stars,
nor rubbled wastes, nor even the fires
which ignite the air, no seas
will bring down the Wall. Only
a world of dust, borne on
a ceaseless wind.
